Cohort: Saint Louis ADRC Cohorts

Introduction to the Cohort
This "cohort" is a convenience sample of community-dwelling persons in the greater St. Louis sample who participated longitudinal studies of dementia and/or healthy aging at the St. Louis Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) between April 1990 and February 2005. Participants in this sample were followed annually until death, refusal of further participation, or relocation.

Ethnicity Breakdown
Approximately 90% of participants were caucasian and approximately 10% were African American. Fewer than 1% were of other race/ethnicity.
